Met God, She's Black gathered a few lovely ladies together for The Guardian for a series called "Shades of Black". For the video "Colorism in Conversation" the group did discuss some of the downfalls of being dark skin in society and some of the miscommunication that may occur among different melanin women but believe it or not all of the women who participated were comfortable in their skin, loved themselves and was happy in their shade of Blackness.
The discussion really focused on how everyone else seem to be concerned with our melanin and how we had to get secure with our essence.
